Portfolio
Hi there,
I am A'Niya Lowery, a small-town woman with huge heart and an even deeper dedication to helping my community. Creating environments where individuals feel empowered, seen, and supported is something I'm passionate about. Come along as I discuss the projects, pursuits, and ambitions that have influenced my path thus far. It's a creative journey through the work I adore; I am so excited to share this with the world.
Background
Growing up in rural Greenville Alabama, I learned to use my creativity to my advantage; sometimes having limited access unlocks new opportunities untrained eyes cannot see. Eventually my family migrated to Montgomery Alabama for better education and health systems. I was afforded the privilege of a prep school education at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School. Alongside a rigorous academic career, faith became an integral piece of my life and has remained since then. I took these skills with me and successfully obtained a bachelor’s of science degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Professions from the state’s oldest and largest public institution, The University of Alabama. I will always be a Bama girl. My passion for my community continues to bloom in new ways each day.
Passion Projects
I took the time to highlight projects that have brought me immense joy throughout my time spent working on them. My work as a Wikipedia editor as well as student advocate for human trafficking awareness have external links attached to them.
